We really appreciate all of you coming out to help us celebrate the
release of our first CD! The process of putting our unique blend of
tunes onto a recording was fun, challenging, frustrating, and in the end a
very rewarding experience. All of the steps were done by us , we
played the music, sang the vocals (the band and a few others that regularly
join us on stage), ran the recorders, mixed the tracks, designed and created
the artwork, secured the copyrights, etc.
The party itself was an outstanding success, everyone who came was in the
mood to have a good time as were we. Sideshow t-shirts, wine, and of
course our CD were given out via drawings and a dance contest, we played the
entire CD through live in the third set, and had the honor of several guest
musicians sitting in during the evening. Those guests included our
very own Jake & Elwood's Blues Review, Natalie Haick, Mike Colle, Chuck
Mack, Kelly (Kelvis) Conover, Jeff Wilde, and the amazing 16 year old Jake
Mack.
